Assessing the condition of regional components

The ReVA assessment of the Mid-Atlantic region emphasized the integration of all available data to provide an overview of environmental condition. However, the decision-maker may be dealing with a problem that emphasized only one of the functional components, such as the terrestrial, aquatic, or social system.

The ReVA toolkit permits one to isolate each of these components and examine them separately using two complementary methods. Greatest confidence can be placed in the results where the methods agree.
