Which stressors will be most important and which resources will be most vulnerable by 2020?

barge

Determining the most important stressors and the most vulnerable resources across the region has significant implication for mitigation as well as for understanding the spatial pattern of environmental quality. Considering the entire region, the most significant stressors are human landuse (residential, urban, agricultural) and the loadings of Nitrogen and Phosphorus to the aquatic systems in the region. These are the three most important stressors currently and are likely to remain so in 2020. The most stressed resources are small intact forest patches and forest cover (FORPCT). The same resources are indicated for the present time and 2020.
