How is the environmental condition of the Mid-Atlantic region estimated to change by 2020 with the major drivers of change?

The ReVA team has begun assessing future conditions in the Mid-Atlantic Region by exploring some basic assessment questions. The following pages present the preliminary findings of their work.

  1. How will the overall condition of the region change by 2020?
  2. Where will the watersheds in the Best Environmental Condition be?
  3. Where will the watersheds in the Worst Environmental Condition be?
  4. How much will the regional pattern change?
  5. Which additional watersheds will become vulnerable to irreversible change?
  6. Which stressors will be most important and which resources will be most vulnerable by 2020?
  7. Where will valued resources be subjected to additional stresses?
  8. What is the future distribution of individual variables?
